From science fiction… to reality…
From democracy… to communism?
This edition deals with a topic that at the moment, belongs more to science fiction than to our reality. However, if we carefully observe the events that surround us and those that we mention in the columns Nuestra Realidad and Opinion, we will soon understand that little by little, fiction will become…a reality. Is the next step to scan humans, just as we do to groceries? On another note, we want to address Women’s History Month and honor two great females that through sacrifice have achieved a special and significant place in our society. One of them is Ms. Gloria Montealegre, Deputy Press Secretary to the Governor’s Office, at The State House. Colombian borne but Hispanic by heart, she actively works side by side with New Jersey’s Governor, J. Corzine. We are also narrating the passionate and admirable life of Dr. Karen Negrin, daughter of Cuban immigrants that was able to beat the illnesses and obstacles that life presented. Although a young woman, her studies and sacrifices have made her the owner of her own animal hospital, as well as continuing her studies and certifications, and always looking forward or “pa’lante” in her Cuban colloquialism. Beginning with this edition and to gratify our public’s request of Realidades in English, we will be offering a few columns in both languages, only online. Please find Editiorial, Nuestra Realidad, Opinion and El Rincon de Venenito translated into English. We hope this token will satiate the solicitations to provide these columns in a bilingual manner. Realidades, is maintained in part thanks to the publicity of our advertisers; due to Realidades responsible and serious approach as a member of the Media, we are traversing a time of publicity stability. I am proud to communicate to all our readers that all of our clients that advertise in full pages, have renovated their contracts…. for another year. There is no need to mention the significance of this achievement. We thank the faith our clients have deposited in Realidades and we want to assure them that we will not fail them. To finalize, last month’s forum noted that 89% believed in the existence of ‘true love’, with a scarce 11% still looking. The forum for this edition will ask: Do you believe that the ‘behavior’ of this democracy, as well the increasing control we are all subjected to ‘protect ourselves’ from terrorism, is leading us to a road of communism? We await your participation with an edition filled with passionate topics as well as interesting information. Until next month.
