Under what regime do we find ourselves…democratic, socialist or communist?

Since the attack of the World Trade Center, security measures have increase to such heights that statistically, in New York, a person is captured in video an average of 75 times per day. While part of the population quietly accepts this method of protection, another important sector assures that very slowly absolute control is imposed in each citizen, as if being driven from an idealized democracy in a capitalist country to a communist regime, although somewhat unnoticeable. ‘Controllers’ note that the cameras aid in detecting crime, identifying acts such as abuse and fights. Others proclaim that the government is acting like “Big Brother”, trying to control the borders, airports and public buildings with closed circuit systems of video among other technologies. Defenders of civil liberties proclaim the dangers with these actions and note that citizens should demonstrate a greater interest in these types of topics, before it becomes too late.
Is all calculated?
Much opposition to the current government (like Michael Moore) believes that what occurred in 9-11 was known ahead time and permitted to take place. In other words, it was all calculated. But why would they do something like this? Some state that is the perfect motive to justify the increase vigilance and in this manner control the movements of the population. Others have already given this movement a name: ‘New World Order’. There are books and authors that testify that the world is controlled by an elite few, from wars, to terrorist acts, human trafficking, kidnappings, drug consumption, etc. to follow an established master plan to be able to control the masses.
It makes sense, but…Is it true?
It is believed that a ‘global police state’ is being created, which will control all governments, institutions, etc. and if you are one of those saying: This is ridiculous! all we ask is to read this column in its entirety. The last 25 years have seen the population become more obedient. It exists in a manner barely visible, a global dictatorship, in which things are done for the ‘well being of all’. How is this done? Quite simply: All that is needed is an excuse and what better pretext than a terrorist attack. In the same topic, this ‘elite’ group need total control, and they do such via communication networks, tapping of telephone calls, surveillance cameras, satellite tracking or GPS, microchip implants, control of the mind, of the bank accounts…your money and much more. The Ohio based video surveillance company citywatcher.com, began to utilize microchip implants on its employees to control access to restricted sections within their building. The microchip is approximately the size of a grain of rice, and it is placed under the skin and works just like an access card. At the same time, we can see how valuable this technology would be to locate patients with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as protecting our loved ones (kids, teenagers, a sure way to minimize kidnappings and missing persons), and this is where the controversy begins. Civil rights advocates, assure that this is a step towards communism, where others see the benefits of this technology.
Imagine that it is true and there is something you don’t like…What would you do?
Suppose that all you have read so far appears not to make much sense and it sounds more like fiction than reality. You believe no one is manipulating you and you are in total control of your life. Think about this: Via radio and television, messages are stating that we will all need to renovate our television sets, due to the fact that in 2009 (only ten months to go) your actual television set will no longer work. The ‘state’ has decided that only digital television sets will work (and this is just the beginning). What will you do? Will you buy a digital television? Will you ask yourself, ‘what type of regime are we leaving under and towards what regime are we heading?
